Issues with eHealth Core & VAS due to renewed shortcomings of HPE 3PAR storage units – solved

Update 17:00 : Solved – All eHealth Core services, Value Added services and the eHealth portal website are available, with minor service disruptions still possible.

Due to renewed serious shortcomings of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) 3PAR storage units, eHealth Core & Value Added Services are facing difficulties since 20:20 on saturday 1/12/2018. Our teams are working hard with support of HPE engineers to reestablish normal service operations.

HPE is contractually bound to ensure at least 99,9% availability of HPE 3PAR storage units, ie an interruption of a maximum of 8 hours 45 minutes per year. HPE Belgium CEO Raf Peeters has been urged by phone and sms to ensure the re-availability with respect to the SLA and to give a state of affairs every hour.

The Business Continuity Procedure (insurability) for pharmacies has been activated.

Need to restart the sessions started before 11:40 AM

As foreseen, new certificates have been installed for eHealth value added services  (ex. BELRAI, CIVARS, CIVICS, EMSR, INSISTO, PARIS, REFERENCEDATA, RETAM, SAA, SANAC, SIPAR, SMUREG, VITALINK…) during the eHealth major release intervention this Sunday, November, 18. Partner applications using eHealth Identity Provider should have the new certificates installed.

Moreover, a necessary change was made to eHealth’s secure single-sign-on tokens. This might cause login issues for applications that retrieved such a token this morning to access eHealth core services. To ensure that your end user software takes into account the changes we made, you should restart your session by rebooting your application or computer if your session was started before 11:40 AM. Be sure that the old token has not been stored in a cache memory.

If the problem persists, contact your software provider.
